What Is It?
Vet Talk Radio is an extremely affordable in-store radio system tailored specifically for veterinary clinic waiting areas and pet retail stores. It can be ‘networked’ so if you have several clinics or stores, they will all have similar ‘personalisation’. It can be branded just for you plus you can create your own 'live scenic atmosphere' with our range of background sound-scapes. Best of all... You won't have to pay for music that research now shows can actually drive clients or customers away!

How is it broadcast?
Vet Talk Radio can be delivered a number of ways but essentially it is a ‘highly personalised’ webcast that is available 7 days a week via your computer!

Vet Talk Radio - a production of PetBiz RadioHow do I receive it?
Our preferred method direct to you is via our daily WebCasts. This option means you 'set and forget’. Start the player in the morning and that’s all you need to do!

We can also provide daily updates if required and 'live' breaking news, store or state specific or national Pet Weather reports and much more.

We also have other hard drive options if required however updates are less frequent.

Isn’t downloading off the internet expensive or costs a lot in bandwidth?
Actually no! – after the first week, the average download per month is less than 30Mb (compared to more than 5Gb for a music feed!). Because we cache our files, items that are replayed come direct from your local computer until updated.

What if my internet connection is dodgy or 'goes down' for a few days at a time?
If you know you have an unreliable connection we simply supply you with a local back-up of all the require files. Music, voice, ads etc.
You just play this local WebCast until your internet connection resumes service.

Do I Need iTunes or a special media player?
No! – We use the stock standard Windows Media Player (although you can use WinAmp or almost any other player of your choice for that matter.)
Why pay for a 'special player' when you already have one right on your computer!

How is Vet Talk Radio updated?
We program your personalised Vet Talk Radio webcast daily (accessed via our website). Promos, advertising, news etc are updated via our playlists as regularly as required. In fact we have the capability to provide live updates any day as and when they happen.

Do I need to be an expert computer user?
Not at all - Simply log-on to our website, Click and Play. It's that easy!

Can I install it myself?
Actually there is nothing to install! - That's why Vet Talk Radio is such a simple cost effective solution. You can use the same computer you use for your 'back-office functions' or a separate computer (even an old one if you still have it!!) or we'll give you a free computer (on a 12 or 24 month plan - conditions apply).

Do I need a PA system in my clinic?
No not really - however a set of small speakers or our FM transmitter option (details after logging in) will ensure you get the sound away from the front reception desk and into the area where your clients are waiting. All this is very easy to install and can be as simple as an FM radio or stereo 'boom box' for really small clinics.

Why is Vet Talk Radio so ‘affordable’?
Because many in-store radio systems rely on dedicated ‘boxes’ that you need to purchase or lease and some providers still use satellites to deliver programming. All this equipment and technology is expensive. The fact you don't have to pay exorbitant rates for music also helps - but remember, if you do decide to play your own CD's etc in-store, you will still need a licence from APRA/AMCOS - the Australian Music Copyright people.

We’ve also developed a very cost-effective method of delivering and updating that requires no user assistance. The fact you are reading this means you can have Vet Talk Radio in your practice today!
